Brand Designer

Creative Doorway is on a mission to use cinema marketing and production campaigns to envelop viewers in a full sensory storytelling experience… to transport oversaturated and tired attempts at building ineffective content into another realm. The Los Angeles based company is inviting their prospective new hires into a portal of creativity and imagination; all the while, indirectly communicating their benefits and values through a collaborative production workflow process.

Creative Doorway was founded in 2014 with a very specific motivation. “We simply refuse to showcase our client’s products and services in the linear grass roots advertising formulas of yonder years,” explains owner and director James Buzzacco. “Instead, we are leveraging our award-winning cinema filmmaking and branding accolades to create a more personal and relatable human condition story campaign for a new generation of consumers; those that have evolved away from the era of direct solicitation.

This is a contract remote role for a Brand Designer at Creative Doorway. The Brand Designer will be responsible for creating and designing brand identities, visual designs, and graphic designs. They will collaborate with the team to develop branding strategies and create captivating brand experiences through visual elements. (This is a contract role not full time employment and pay is based on campaign budgets and needs.)

Qualifications

  • Brand Identity and Brand Design skills
  • Experience in Visual Design and Graphic Design
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and strategies
  • Ability to create visually compelling designs
  • Proficiency in design software and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow brand design guidelines and create/follow previous designs
  • Specializing in sleek, provocative, fashion tech, minimalistic agency brand campaigns
  • Experience in the film-making or marketing industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with current and future trends with regard to creating brand assets with a cinematic lighting schematic.
  • Ability to concept a variety of subjects and styles of execution
  • Strong design eye in composition
  • Proficiency to create digital and print work, RGB to CMYK conversions, print layouts, following bleed and print spec guidelines, etc

Responsibilities

  • Create additional brand assets that follow brand identity
  • Lead the creative direction for new brand campaigns
  • Create high quality cinematic themed designs for brand campaigns and film projects.
  • Adhere to project deadlines
  • Work closely with Art/Creative Director to maintain artistic cohesion across all concept and final assets
  • Collaborate with other Creative Doorway artists, designers, and animators to take concepts to final delivery
  • Develop strong layouts for print, websites, magazine ads, brochures, social media, and marketing materials for clients

Starting Contract Budget: $3,500+
